CAFOD Club 2024 - 2025
Catholic Social Teaching is at the heart of everything that we do at St Paul's Catholic Primary School.
CAFOD Club is now in its second year at St Paul's Catholic Primary School. Members of CAFOD Club take the lead in putting Catholic Social Teaching into action, along with supporting the Catholic life and mission of our school.
Since starting this academic year, CAFOD Club led a whole school assembly on Fairtrade Fortnight, encouraging other members of St Paul's Catholic Primary School to 'Be the change'.
CAFOD Club have also taken the lead in organising the Brighten Up day as part of CAFOD's Harvest Fast Day on Friday 4th October 2024. On this day, the whole school community is invited to come to school in bright clothes and accessories in return for a donation to CAFOD.
Brighten Up day was well supported by the school and a total of £218.33 was raised which will go towards CAFOD's many projects. Below is a photograph of the school community on the day.
On Thursday 14th November 2024, CAFOD club organised a Fairtrade stall selling Fairtrade hot chocolate and a Fairtrade chocolate for 50p. The event was well supported by the school community and it raised £35.35. The money raised will be donated to CAFOD to support their work with communities in need.
